Cenote Azul is quite large with several bodies of crystal clear aquamarine water. A rustic path makes its way down to the main Cenote which has a small 15′ cliff for fun-goers to jump from. As the water is crystal clear it is hard to gauge depth so its always entertaining watching newbies build up the gumption to jump. There are several cenotes or sinkholes to swim in on the property. Each is more magnificent then the next. Don’t forget to bring your snorkel gear and underwater cameras, there are plenty of fish and interesting underwater formations to see here. Throughout the day you can see divers disappear beneath the rocks as they enter the underwater cave system that stretches for hundreds of kms. Cenote Azul is located right on highway 307 a mere 10 mins south of Puerto Aventuras, in a cluster of open to the public cenotes, its really easy to find.
